Happy November!
I’m adding a quick note to welcome you to another cool autumn or soon-to-be Canadian winter!! Although I “hate” November (it gets cold, dark, and the fun stuff…snow…hasn’t arrived yet), I’m not minding it much this year.
I just finished a 1-day show in Rothesay, NB, at the Bill McGuire Centre. It is a wonderfully attended show, and people this year were curious, lovely and had researched my site and social media prior to shopping! I am so energized by sales days and had such a great time. Customers have recommended I wear my hats for my sales, so this year I am. As such, I had at least three requests to purchase this hat off my head (lol) with several trying it on. While I’m keeping this one, it led to wonderful, creative chats about design and future projects. 🙂
I am now setting my sights on my second and last show for 2023. I’ll be at the Holly Jolly show at UNB in Fredericton. Although it is now a 2-day show, I’ll only be there on the Saturday…so if you want to see my hats, try to be there on the 25th of November.
I continue to create what I call “intentional design”. What I mean by that is that I’m not pumping out the hats these days, instead very purposely designing each piece. Really exploring the silks and upcycled clothing and hat blocks.
So, stay tuned for new designs. There will be new ones in Fredericton in 3 weeks from now. I’ll load more designs online after that sale, but until then will focus on designing for the show.
