Hatshepsut is considered one of Egypt's greatest pharaohs, a woman who brought great wealth and artistry to her land. Not only did she command one of Egypt’s most successful trading expeditions, bringing back gold, ebony, and incense, but she orchestrated the earliest recorded plant hunting in 1495BC. She sent botanists from Egypt to Somalia to find incense trees. I can only imagine her gardens of curated plants collected from foreign lands; the flowers, the smells, the scientists studying each plant and their benefits... What plants and flowers we foster is very personal. Often for beauty or perfume, but sometimes for sentimental reasons, gardeners and collectors surround themselves with seasonal beauty. This hat reminds me of such a collection of flowers. Every angle of this hat showcases a beautiful floral print amongst the folds. Bring your garden into fall/winter and spring with Hatshepsut. -
An elevated cat lady is the epitome of refined eccentricity and charm. She adores her feline companions, but she does so with grace, style, and intentionality. Her home is not overrun with kitsch but artfully adorned with curated touches—perhaps a vintage brass cat figurine on a marble shelf, or bespoke portraits of her pets in gilded frames. She wears tailored clothes with quirky, elegant details—a brooch shaped like a cat, silk scarves with subtle feline motifs, and this hat. She’s intelligent, witty, and independent—traits she admires in cats and reflects in her own life. Her conversations are engaging, her bookshelves are full, and her tea is always steeped just right. -
This hat has a sleek silhouette, a whimsical assortment of patterns, and a deep red color that will catch everyone's eye. From every angle, this hat has you looking fabulous. It is versatile for casual wear with a denim jacket, or a night out on the town with a felt coat; it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. "A hat is a flag, a shield, a bit of armor, and the badge of femininity. A hat is the difference between wearing clothes and wearing a costume; it's the difference between being dressed and being dressed up; it's the difference between looking adequate and looking your best. A hat is to be stylish in, to glow under, to flirt beneath, to make all others seem jealous over, and to make all men feel masculine about. A piece of magic is a hat." - Martha Sliter. -

Reports have it that F. Scott Fitzgerald's character Daisy, in the Great Gatsby, was modeled after Genevra King. It is written that Ginerva "remained for Fitzgerald an archetype for the alluring, independent and upper class woman, ultimately unattainable by someone of a modest social background like himself". I see Daisy wearing this cloche in this modern day, highlighting her casual classic beauty, drawing draw the eye and admiration of passers-by...
