Susan Kare is the graphic artist from the 80's who designed pixel art for Apple. She developed her work by drawing heavily on her fine art experience in mosaic, needlepoint and pointillism. Susan brought us the arrow cursor, the trash can and the 'document' icon with the turned-up page corner, and many other designs over the years of working in the industry. Her designs have been exhibited at the MOMA in NYC and are considered "simple, elegant and whimsical". I'd like to think she would REALLY love this hat. Its simple graphic black and white design reminds me of the world she created. I could see her leaving her office at the end of a long workday, re-entering the city late at night. She'd don this hat as she passed through the revolving door at the front of the building, the cold air striking her awake, and this hat would keep her warm her as she retreated from her work to her home. -
There are all kinds of quotes about Leopard print. Seemingly you're either a fan, or not. Where Jenna may surprise you is the variety of her undertones (tan, burnt orange, brown) thus the amount of colors and outfits she will match! Leopard print is something that acts as a staple in a wardrobe, a kind of neutral... This hat will roll up into a purse, fend off bad weather (snow, sleet, fog, some rain) keeping you warm and cozy as you go about your life this autumn, winter and fall. Adding a little zing to a wardrobe, she's ready for you...are you ready for her? -
Jennifer is an independent spirit who loves travel, embraces opportunity in the moment and shares it with others. She loves classic fashion, textures and bold prints. She knows how to put an outfit together and purchases clothing with intentional design and a mind for the environment. This hat is for her, a classic navy blue with gray silk and navy velour dots. The style is versatile and can be dressed down for a run to the market or worn on an evening out or on her next winter escapade. It is warm, and comfortable and can even be compacted to fit in a purse. So functional, it can even dry her hair if wet and tucked in for a morning commute. Ideal with denim, a wool coat or a puffer, this one will protect you from whatever winter throws your way with style and comfort. -
Growing up I was blessed to be surrounded with strong, intelligent and kind women. My grandmother Katherine took time to nurture my interests, teach me things, and experience the world alongside me. Kind, silly and fun to be around as a young child, she was a grandmother who told stories like they’re secrets meant only for you. There are pictures of her in the 1930's in her long felt coats walking on the high street in England arm in arm with a friend. She isn't rich, but she's refined and every detail of her outfit is chosen with care. She understood accessories and in a time when women were expected to dress modestly and blend in, she chose to stand out, not with extravagance, but with intention. Katherine dresses not to match — but to lead. This hat isn’t an accessory. It’s a signature. -
Who needs a break these days? To step off that road you're on, with your job, your family and commitments... We love what we do and we love who we are, but sometimes we just want to stop and step off. Breathe and take stock of all the good around you to really truly appreciate what you have in life. To treasure time. Lavender is one of those things that can help you stop or at least slow down, with its calm color and fragrant smell. Whether it is a field to behold, or a small sprig that catches your eye (and nose), this gossamer hat will remind you of the heat of summer and smell of lavender. Perfect for fall and spring, and worn best under a hood in the very cold winter. Lavender can help you find clarity, restore balance and embrace a calmer, fuller life. -
This is a perfect gossamer hat to get if you're wanting something comforting on fall days, a hat you can dress up for an event, or keep casual for weekday wear. Black and royal blue silk mixed with royal blue wool and a fun lining silk, this hat is the one you'll reach for when you just need a hat to be there for you, without much thought or consideration. In this "post-covid" life things seem overwhelming at times both in complexity or busy-ness, and maybe just slowing down and simplifying is the way through it. KISS principle (keep is simple sweetie) seems juuuuust about right. -

When you wear a hat or any fashion that "fits" physically and stylistically you stand taller, feeling more secure and confident. You know today is going to be a good day...equal to a great hair day or simply driving when all the traffic lights turn green as you commute to work. Deborah is one of those "sure thing" additions to your wardrobe. She's luxurious to feel and looks like a foreign fabric, perhaps fur. People won't believe she's handmade felt with her muted colors and subtle patterns. The hint of animal print on the edge, she will support any look you want, be it casual or on a night out. You won't have to say a word with her on, people will take note of it promoting the beautiful you... She's a woman of action and few words. -

When you put this hat on it brings out something special in you. Some see it as an occasion hat (winter wedding), others as a casual topper (to the market or out for supper), but whichever way you choose to wear it, it will turn heads and make you shine. Joy in Blush gossamer features drape from the glass beads, character from the upcycled dress and sensibility as it will protect you from cooler temperatures or inclement weather. Perfect for the shoulder seasons, it makes you feel special and exude joy. -

This hat is THE accessory piece to an outfit or a special outing. The felt hat has delicious texture as the wool has fused to and rippled the black silk velour during the felting process. It reminds me of textiles made for Royalty that sit in museums or castles in Europe. The bow is made with stiff pineapple silk; oversized and flipped upside down as if you're about to get swept off your feet! We play dress up as youngsters. Somewhere along the line many of us lose that ability to just let go and express ourselves with fashion and play. This hat invites you back to a simpler time where play was fun and the bigger the bow, the better! -

The woman who wears Mona is joyful, creative, and full of warmth. She has an infectious laugh, a love for the whimsical, and a flair for the artistic. Her style is effortlessly expressive—she gravitates toward nature-inspired patterns that reflect her free spirit and appreciation for beauty in the everyday. She enjoys visits to botanical gardens, and afternoons filled with painting, poetry, or storytelling. She values authenticity over trends and wears pieces that tell a story. Mona isn’t just an accessory—she’s a celebration of color, life, and a radiant personality. -
This hat is an elevated Trish Raine "starter" hat. Yes, it is comfortable, sculptural and sensible, but the combination of silks creates a textured look in the silk fabric pattern! This is a "kitchen sink", where I put various silk fabrics together in one hat which creates a vibrant turquoise, cohesive one-of-a-kind look. Wear it across your ears to get a jaunty look, or in bad weather, pull the hat down to protect you from the cold and snow. There is a lot of room to tuck your ponytail into the hat, which helps secure it to your head and stops a great deal of "hat head". Heck wear this formally or out snowshoeing!! It can also protect you on all your winter physical activities! :)
