This hat is handmade felt. The silk velour fabric is fused with raw wool in a process of wet felting called nuno felting. Once the felt hood is created, it is stiffened and blocked over a vintage French wooden block. An elasticized band is sewn on the inside to helps keep the hat comfortably on your head. The hand of this felt is incredibly soft and a real comfort to wear.
