This is a cloche/turban with a vintage feel and modern sensibilities. I named her Eleanor, to honor Eleanor Roosevelt who made such a significant impact on civil and women’s rights. Description
This hat is made “from scratch” by fusing upcycled silk clothing and merino wool by hand in a process called nuno (wet) felting. Once the felt is formed, the hat is stiffened and shaped over a vintage block. It features a deep crown and an angled brim. There is an elasticated band on the inside of the hat to hold it in place on your head. This hat has sufficient depth allowing you to pull it right down to your eyebrow, or leave it higher at the front of your head, whatever way you wish to wear it. A vintage look with a unique floral otherworldly flair, this hat is sure to turn heads while protecting you from winter!
