A modern take on a vintage turban. This “kitchen sink” turban has a blend of many fabulous prints all fused into one hat. One of a kind design, it is a casual head-turning topper for the hat-venturous! While sensible (it will not crush your hair, will keep you warm in the winter/fall/spring, and will defend you against unfavorable weather), it has a wonderful flair and joie de vivre!

This turban is hand made felt. The silk selection is a “kitchen sink” collection, from silks I have gathered over years of up-cycling thrift clothing. I fuse raw wool through the silk in a process of wet felting called nuno felting. Once the fabric is created, I stiffen and block the hood over a vintage wooden block to get the turban shape. An elastic inner band helps with the comfort of the hat and keep it on your head!
